Dallas is the main core of the biggest metropolitan area in the Southern United States and the largest inland urbanite area in the U.S. that lacks any passable link to the sea. It is the most populous city in the Dallas Fort Worth metroplex, the fourth-largest urbanite area in the country at 7.3 million people as of 2017. Dallas is the seat of Dallas County. Sections of the city cover into Collin, Denton, Kaufman, and Rockwall counties.

The Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Garden information and General Admission Fees

The Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Garden is a 66-acre (267,000 m²) botanical garden located at 8525 Garland Road in East Dallas, Dallas, Texas, on the southeastern shore of White Rock Lake.
The arboretum is a series of gardens and fountains with a view of the lake and the downtown Dallas skyline. The majority of the grounds were once part of a 44-acre (18 ha) estate known as Rancho Encinal, built for geophysicist Everette Lee DeGolyer and his wife Nell. Mrs. DeGolyer's interests included her extensive flower gardens. The DeGolyer Home is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Since 1976, the DeGolyer estate has formed the largest portion of the Dallas Arboretum & Botanical Gardens. The addition of the adjoining Alex and Roberta Coke Camp estate increased the size of the grounds to sixty-six acres.

White Rock Lake information and General Admission Fees

White Rock Lake is a reservoir located in north-east Dallas, Texas (United States). The lake was formed by damming White Rock Creek, which today widens into the lake before continuing south out of the spillway and emptying into the Trinity River. The lake covers 1,254 acres (5.1 km²) in the east Dallas community.
